Peak MSK is a leading Melbourne clinic specialising in back, neck and jaw pain. Our skilled team of Osteopaths work in synergy with Physiotherapists, focussed on your best recovery and a long-term approach to better health. Together, our disciplines provide excellence in musculoskeletal care and treatment to people from all walks of life.
This is a holistic manual therapy (or “hands on”) approach to enhance and restore neuro-musculoskeletal health for joints, nerves, and muscles. It is useful for injury recovery including sports injuries, work related problems and promotion of healthy lifestyle.
Your current health, diagnosis and treatment is seen with a whole-body approach from a mechanical, postural, and therefore a functional view. Our osteopaths will look for links between your problem and other things that may influence the injury.
Caring for your musculoskeletal system can play a huge part in the quality and comfort of your movement. From your spine to your joints, muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments, and cartilage - all parts of your body have a part to play in helping you move comfortably.
Tell our clinicians about your health and your injury and what you need to do or want to enjoy doing again. They will listen and work on a management plan to get to your goals, be it sport, work or enjoying your time at home with your family.
At Peak MSK, all our team focus on your well-being using evidence-informed care of manual therapy, exercise, education and lifestyle advice. We know movement is good medicine: healthy movement patterns and good posture can help to reduce chronic pain and whole-body inflammation. Exercise and moving well has an endorphin effect too, boosting your mood whilst reducing the recurrence of injuries.
We want to see our clients happy - so we work diligently to help you move and live with confidence.
For Osteopathy treatment to be truly successful in the long term, we trust our clients to take ownership of their pain management using the tools and techniques we provide. By taking this partnership approach, we can work with you to make your treatment as successful as possible.
The Peak MSK team is here to help you build confidence in your movement, whether it be during sport, at work, or doing what you love.

Both physiotherapists and osteopaths work with the musculoskeletal system. Over time as research has informed the clinical science of both professions, leading to convergence in the approach to treatment.
Although we work together in an aligned client-focused approach backed by scientific research, we recommend you work with the clinician on our team that best fits to your needs. Every clinician and every person is different and what works for you is key. We are happy to cross-refer between practitioners within our clinic as needed.
No, a referral is not required for private patients. If you have funding with Worksafe, TAC or DVA, you will need a referral. We are not a bulk billing practice. You will need to pay the full cost of treatment at the time of your appointment and claim your rebate back from Medicare or the compensable body.
This will depend on your individual health fund and the level of cover you have chosen. Talk to your Private Health Insurer if you are unsure.
